PALM SUNDAY:
VIDEO FOR KIDS-click to view.
On Palm Sunday, we celebrate the first joy of the season, as we celebrate Our Lord's triumphant entrance into Jerusalem where he was welcomed by crowds worshiping him and laying down palm leaves before him. It also marks the beginning of Holy Week, which concludes on Easter Sunday, with the greatest tragedy and sorrow of the year.
It marks the week before his death and resurrection. For many Palm Sunday,is  often referred to as ‘Passion Sunday’.

We will hold our version of this on Tuesday. Encourage your class to dress up in Jesus clothes for this and make palms to wave as the donkey passes.

HOLY THURSDAY:

Holy Thursday is the commemoration of the Last Supper of Jesus Christ, when he established the sacrament of Holy Communion prior to his arrest and crucifixion. It also commemorates His institution of the priesthood. The holy day falls on the Thursday before Easter and is part of Holy Week.
GOOD FRIDAY:Good Friday is the day on which Catholics commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus. According to the gospels, Jesus was betrayed by Judas on the night of the Last Supper, commemorated on Holy Thursday.
EASTER SUNDAY:Easter also called or Resurrection Sunday, is a festival and holiday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, described in the New Testament as having occurred on the third day of his burial after his crucifixion by the Romans at Calvary. It is the culmination of the Passion of Jesus, preceded by Lent  a forty-day period of fasting, prayer, and penance.
We have our Resurrection Liturgy in week 9-Thursday @10:00 in the hall.
